Introduction to Agent Based Modeling
To begin this journey, I have enrolled in a course from the Sante Fe Institute called “Introduction to Agent Based Modeling”
This course will explore how to use agent-based modeling to understand and examine a widely diverse and disparate set of complex problems. During the course, we will explore why agent-based modeling is a powerful new way to understand complex systems, what kinds of systems are amenable to complex systems analysis, and how agent-based modeling has been used in the past to study everything from economics to biology to political science to business and management
Santa Fe Institute
I have no formal training in Complexity Science or Agent Based Modeling, but I have read many texts on the subject and I am interested enough to pursue training. I see it as a natural extension of my skills and experience as a Software Engineer.
My intention with this training is to apply Complexity Science in my business. I could foresee offering modeling and simulation services as a product.
I also have a blockchain-integrated simulation game I am interested in creating, the progress of which I will also cover here.
I will attempt to write about my progress through each of the course’s units and provide images, videos, and links to code for the Models that are built from that course.
Sincerely,
Ben
